i am quite possibly the biggest baby lover currently living. i think i've been baby hungry my entire life and since i haven't yet been blessed with children of my own, it's no secret, i love and adore my nieces. i am so thankful for all of them...they are the sweetest group of little ladies and they fill that void in my heart quite nicely.

with that being said, happy happy birthday to my goober grape. it seems like just yesterday that we were living with tyler & jennie as newlyweds and awaiting your arrival. i still remember the day i came home from work early hoping to find out that jennie was in labor and instead, i pulled into the driveway to find your 9 months pregnant rockstar mother out raking the leaves. for whatever reason, i took a mental picture that day and i thought about how lucky you would be to have a mother like her. it wasn't long after, that we finally got the call telling us you'd arrived and as we rushed to the hospital to meet you, we knew we were about to fall madly in love.

needless to say, we were right.

My squishy, smiley, giggly, laughing, screaming niece turned 1 while we were on vacation. Just for fun, I crawled around on my stomach in the sand one day and took a million pictures of her in her striped bikini. I realize this is photo overload, but I am posting them all mostly so Christy can steal them off the blog.

our date with m.

last weekend was our date with little makayla & it was definitely one of the best dates either of us has ever been on. we took her to the under the sea show at the clark planetarium & then off to lunch at the "bird place" (thanks jennie for cluing us in on what the "bwurrrddd place" was).

and just for the record, we both got a kiss when we dropped her off at home.

we were lucky enough to visit ty & jennie at the hospital after their little annika was born.
she is so beautiful...tiny, darling & sweet. plus, she totally rocks the mohawk.
we love our newest niece so much already (and g was completely smitten & in love, let me tell ya).

a night with mo.

friday night we took our little dedee on a date
dinner at chili's & home to watch harry potter.

she learned how to use my camera
and took some brilliant pictures of the floor, the ceiling, a tennis ball and my boobs.

the highlight, for both of us, was building a tower on uncle g's head
and sitting on his face during the entire movie.
lucky her, he never complained.
