dear hills.

i thought i was over you.

i haven't watched you in months...haven't cared to. somewhere in between the bad acting & obvious drama, i got over you.

g was thrilled, of course. he couldn't believe it. was my addiction of so many years really over?
we both relished in the thought.

i don't know how you did it, how you seduced me again? it might have been that ridiculous trailer that kept popping up during my real world episodes or the gorgeous new promotion pics floating around cyber space. but, i see you & i feel giddy again, the way i did when we first fell in love all those years ago.

are heidi & lauren really going to make up? is audrina seriously hooking up with brody? what the H happened to justin bobby?

i miss you, hills. i'm ready to come back. hopefully you'll welcome me with open arms & won't make me regret my decision. either way, i'll see you tonight...just don't tell my other lover.

yes, i am a nerd.

creative writing was always my favorite class. always. while everyone else grumbled & complained about the writing assignment we'd been given, i could hardly wait to get started. which is why i am excited to join marta's write club and follow along with this little project.

i'm completing my first writing assignment today & thinking about who i was back in 2005. before i met g & changed the course of my life as i knew it.

you should do it, too.

a cuisine that is lean.

i am currently obsessed with lean cuisines.

like lots of people, my appetite fluctuates with the weather. when it's cold, the last thing i want is a cold sandwich. i crave something warm, but a warm lunch can be hard to find unless you are willing to eat out everyday. i cannot afford such a luxury.

lean cuisine's are kind to my budget and my waistline & fulfill my warm lunch craving. plus, 90% of them are delicious. promise.

the sesame stir fry with chicken is my ultimate favorite, although the butternut squash ravioli is great, too. and don't forget to try the roasted garlic chicken pizza. diet food never tasted so good.

and just for the record, i once served a lean cuisine to gjo for dinner & he didn't say a word. the trick is to serve it on a plate.
happy lunch.

broaches for sale.

My oh-so-creative Mother has been making darling handmade broaches for herself, her friends & her daughters for quite a while now. After receiving tons of compliments & requests, she decided to put together a bog to showcase what she has available.

If anyone is interested in purchasing a broach, go to
www.lee-b-designs.blogspot.com
to see some of the styles available.
(some of you might even discover that a broach has been named after you!)

They really are darling & make the best gifts. My favorite ways to wear them are attached to coats, headbands & scarves. And keep in mind, you can always arrange to see them in person. The pictures really don't do them justice, in my opinion. Oh, and please don't laugh at my pathetic attempt at modeling them. That's what happens when you are the ONLY GIRL IN THE FAMILY. Might be the most embarrassing thing of my life.

winter.

is never kind to my skin.
or my hair, for that matter.
this stuff
is single-handedly saving my life right now.

i lather up each night before bed
and my skin stays moist and soft for the next 24 hrs.

plus, it's cheap
and still works better than the expensive stuff.

if i am going to have to brave the cold
i refuse to have dry, itchy skin while doing so

i hate you, winter.

happy birthday! love, mtv

I am not afraid to admit that I am obsessed with "The Hills"... I know it is pathetic, I know it is fake, I know its scripted, I know, I know...don't care! I still love it! I've been watching Lauren since she was on LB and she is my favorite.

Anyways, it's been a sad time in TV land with pretty much all of my favorite shows being out of production, so I am so happy to learn that The Hills is coming back on March 24! I can't help but consider this a personal gift to me from MTV.

If you watch the Hills, you know why I'm giddy. More Justin Bobby, more Brody, more Speidi and more cat fights!

If you don't watch The Hills, you should start. After all, everyone needs a guilty pleasure...

P.S. Had the most amazing dessert last night! A homemade Molten Chocolate Cake, or as some people call it, A chocolate bomb! Insanely, mouth-wateringly, amazingly good! I'll try to post the recipe soon...

Buddies,

I have been off in la-la land for the past hour reading "Black heels to tractor wheels: A love story" written by the talented Pioneer Woman.

I am finally coming up for air & realizing I need to go do something productive, but first I had to share her with you. Her story has provided me with a nice, long, relaxing trip out of reality and into la-la land which, I have to admit, is where I always prefer to be.

And now I am thinking that someday I will write down the story of G & I, as boring as it may be..I don't want to loose the memories. Pionner woman is a talented writer, go read the tale of this L.A. city slicker turned country mom.

PS. Pioneer woman cooks, too!

Obsessed with Newport

I was organizing some pictures and I came across this..

Just a little something to think of when you are trying to unfreeze your car from the road. I wish I were there!
