destination: slc.

question:
if you had a few carefree days in utah, what would you do?
where would you play & eat?
what are your suggestions for utah adventures?
help me out, dear bloggers.

  4. Right now, I think it'd be fun to go to the zoo, it's open year round and they offer lots of fun stuff during the winter. Also I think snow shoeing looks fun but I've never tried it. Soldier Hollow has fun cross country skiing and I have done that once before and loved it (my girls hated it though!) The aquarium is fun too and it's indoors for those really cold days! Daniels summit offers snowmobiling which is fun or you can drive south a bit and enjoy a little sun and warmth. What's this for? Are you planning something?

  5. I would have pastries at les madelenes on 500 S. I've heard they're to die for. I would go for a walk/hike up on 18th Ave by the church there is a trailhead...since a lot of the snow is melted. I would go out to Kennecott and check out the big trucks...for craig of course. (we are actually doing that next week i think) I've never been to the Great Salt Lake, so maybe I'd check that out. I go to the art museum. I'd plant planters of flowers. I'd check out Sam Weller's since they are moving and buy a good book, then read every afternoon on my cool porch. ;) Little America Breakfast Buffet. ;) Go for a bike ride up City Creek Canyon. Have a Grinder and a Concrete (Strawberry Cashew) from Nelson's Custard in Bountiful. Go to the Draper Temple Open House. Go to Music and the Spoken Word. Go spring skiing. Go skydiving. Go try out the indoor surfing in Ogden. Watch a good movie (have you seen Ghost Town yet?) Make a movie. I'll update if I have more. ;)

  10. what a cute idea! I think a drive up the canyon for lunch (stopping for a great view, while eating a picnic lunch in the back of the car) is so under-rated. I'd pack my picnic basket with a good italian sub and soda from Granato's. Maybe follow up the night by sneaking into the Snowbird or Park City Marriott hottubs?? That was always fun... in highschool:)!! Oh, I almost forgot- start the day by having breakfast at Eggs in the City and get the french toast.

  11. Happy belated Birthday!

Skiing at Snowbird and/or Mountain Biking/Hiking (Dry Creek to Bobsled was great yesterday). I love showing Red Butte Gardens off (close and quick). Citrus Grill, Red Butte Cafe, & Cucina (downtown) are our favorite SLC only eats. Park City main Street stroll down to the skate park is awesome.
